A Different Way of Healing

Healing is not about becoming someone different. It's about coming home to yourself.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, healing from trauma, feeling overwhelmed, struggling in relationships, or simply sensing that life feels harder than it should, therapy offers a space to pause, breathe, and begin again.

At The Mind Lab, I work with curiosity rather than judgement. Together, we gently explore the patterns, beliefs, emotions and protective parts of you that have developed over time—not to pathologise them, but to understand the important role they have played in your story. As awareness grows, new possibilities begin to emerge.

My work is trauma-informed and grounded in nervous system regulation, Somatic Experiencing principles, narrative therapy and parts work. Rather than spending every session trying to think your way through problems, we create space for your nervous system to settle. When the body feels safe, the brain no longer has to work so hard to protect you. From this place of regulation, insight becomes clearer, emotions become more manageable, and lasting change becomes possible.

Every person's journey is unique. Therapy is never a one-size-fits-all process, and I tailor each session to meet you where you are—with compassion, collaboration and deep respect for your lived experience. My role is not to fix you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with your inner resources, build resilience, and create a life that feels more authentic, connected and meaningful.

Individual Therapy

Therapy is more than talking—it is a space to slow down, become curious, and understand yourself with greater compassion.

Together, we explore the patterns that shape your thoughts, emotions, relationships and behaviours. Rather than asking, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ we ask, ‘What happened, and what has your mind and body learned to do to help you survive?’

My work integrates trauma-informed therapy, nervous system regulation, Somatic Experiencing principles, parts work and narrative therapy. We gently explore the connection between your mind, body and life experiences, allowing space for awareness, healing and meaningful change. As your nervous system begins to feel safer, your brain no longer needs to remain in constant protection mode, creating more capacity for clarity, resilience and connection.

Every therapeutic journey is unique, and sessions are tailored to your individual
needs, goals and pace.

Couples Therapy

Relationships often become caught in repetitive cycles where each partner’s attempts to feel heard, understood or protected unintentionally reinforce the other’s reactions. Together, we slow these patterns down so they become visible rather than automatic.

Rather than identifying one person as the problem, we explore the relationship as a system—understanding how each partner’s experiences, communication styles, attachment needs and protective strategies influence the dance between them.

Our work may include strengthening communication, understanding conflict patterns, exploring love languages, recognising defence mechanisms, increasing emotional safety and rebuilding trust and connection. The goal is not simply to solve arguments, but to help couples understand one another more deeply and create healthier ways of relating.

Family Therapy

Families function as interconnected systems, where each person’s experiences and behaviours influence the whole. Sometimes families become stuck in patterns that create misunderstanding, conflict or emotional distance.

Drawing on Structural Family Therapy and an ecosystemic approach, we work together to understand family dynamics, strengthen relationships and create healthier patterns of communication and connection.

Rather than focusing on blame, we explore how the family functions as a whole, recognising each person’s strengths while working collaboratively towards greater understanding, flexibility and resilience.

Parenting Support

Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, and every child experiences the world
differently.

My role is not to tell parents how to raise their children, but to help them better understand what their child’s behaviour may be communicating beneath the surface.

Together, we explore ways of strengthening connection through curiosity, emotional safety and effective communication. Parents learn practical strategies for responding rather than reacting, understanding their child’s emotional world, navigating challenging behaviours and building relationships based on trust, empathy and secure attachment.

When children feel deeply understood, they are more able to regulate, communicate and thrive.

Workshops & Talks

Learning together creates opportunities for growth, connection and meaningful
change.

I facilitate engaging, evidence-informed workshops for schools, organisations, healthcare professionals, parents and community groups on a range of topics related to mental health, emotional wellbeing and resilience.

Workshops are interactive, practical and tailored to the unique needs of each audience, helping participants better understand themselves, strengthen relationships and develop skills that support long-term wellbeing.

Topics may include anxiety, stress management, burnout, trauma awareness, nervous system regulation, resilience, communication, emotional wellbeing and psychological safety.

How I work

I believe healing begins with curiosity, not judgement.

My role is not to tell you who you should become. Together, we create a space where your mind can quieten, your nervous system can settle, and the patterns that once felt automatic can begin to make sense. Through greater awareness, safety and connection, lasting change becomes possible.
